On Friday afternoon, a scholarship distribution ceremony was held at the Shahid Muktijoddha Jagatjyoti Public Library in the city, where scholarships were awarded to 65 students from various upazilas of the district in the 5th, 7th, and 8th grades under the talent pool and general categories.
During this time, certificates and mementos were presented to the scholarship recipients.
The award distribution ceremony was presided over by Shahriar Haque Nabil, president of Alokito Sunamganj humanitarian organization, with the chief guest being Abu Noman Mohammad Shafiqul Rahman, the acting headmaster of Government Jubilee High School.
Special guests included social worker Abu Mosharat Khokon, Shahina Chowdhury, Enamul Haque, Khalil Rahman, Imtiaz Sarker, Samina Chowdhury, and Shaheed Noor Ahmed, among others.
Additionally, speeches were given by other members including Mustakim Khan Rohan, vice president of Alokito Sunamganj humanitarian organization, general secretary Nasif Aziz Chowdhury, Tahsin Ahmed, Motasim Haque Nafis, Shamsuzzaman, Jubair, Ayon, Tasnim Sarker Imamim, and other members.
The event was also conducted by Khalid Ahmed Saif and Abir Shahriar Mahi, among others.
In the organization's merit scholarship, Samiul Hasan from Jamalganj upazila secured the 1st position in the 5th grade, Ayon Sarker Abir from Government Jubilee High School in the 7th grade, and Sadika Akter from Sunamganj Girls' High School in the 8th grade received their awards.
